Rainbow Sextet Siege's next patch is targeting a roll up of bothersome bugs introduced at the start of the Crimson Heist season last week. Principal among them is the truly bizarre recoil bug that's sending bullets off course. Patch Y6S1.1 is coming to PC tomorrow and will later drop for the consoles (once Microsoft/Sony give the thumbs up).

Ubisoft is releasing full bandage notes as the update comes stunned tomorrow, only here are the highlights of what's acquiring addressed:

  • Recoil wiretap
  • Knife peek exploit
  • Match cancellation abuses
  • Drone crouch peek exploit
  • Drone spawning in vent (Border)

You might not have noticed the unintended recoil change if you harbour't played a short ton of Siege lately (Maine), but it's sure as shooting disruptive sufficient to grounds issues in a firefight. Basically, vertical recoil will randomly stop applying to whatever artillery while firing, causing players to overcompensate recoil and Northerner their aim downward. Information technology happens so locked that it's ungovernable to tell what's fifty-fifty happening. Siege pro player Pengu highlighted the off-kilter intent bounce in the video below.

Winkle and you'll miss IT—you can see by the bullet impacts on the paries that the occasional shot veers downward. The bug isn't crippled-breaking by hook or by crook, but serious players and pros have been particularly irked.

A new exploit that allows players to in a flash scraggy in either direction is also getting squashed in Y6S1.1. The new trick hasn't get over too widespread (unless you're playing against the sweatiest Plats and Diamonds that Siege has to offer), merely information technology's arguably a bigger deal than some recoil hemipteron. By meleeing and leaning simultaneously, you can completely bypass the lean invigoration and basically teleport to the left hand and right. If I took a shot to the head by someone who magically appeared around a corner, I'd be pretty livid.

Thankfully, I won't have to be anxious about that hypothetical much longer. Atomic number 3 a longtime Siege fan, it's nice that Ubisoft is finally able-bodied to hole issues like this in a matter of days instead of weeks or months. Now if it could antimonopoly do something about the nasty chat glitch that randomly locks me out of team voice chat, that'd be grand.

Morgan is a stupefy writer following the latest and greatest shooters and the communities that play them. He also writes general news, reviews, features, the occasional take, and bad jokes in Slack. Twist his arm, and he'll even write on a boring strategy game. Please father't, though.
